Many people have asked what the "Never Again!" part means. It has nothing to do with Maureen's feelings about nursing as a career. In fact, she never thought of doing anything else. The real meaning is powerful, but you have to read the book to find out. The book is written from a nursing perspective but you don't have to have a medical background to enjoy it. It has something for everyone!

This book chronicles Maureen's more than 8-year experience with a hemifacial spasm (HFS) and its abundant treatments options. In her case, the journey has included three microvascular decompressions (MVD's).

Maureen wrote this book to educate everyone, both providers and patients, on the treatments available for this neurological condition. She hopes that it sheds new insights on how crippling a hemifacial spasm can be and the importance of an early, accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Maureen's fourth book:
A Cart Divided: How the pandemic saved my life with a plant based vegan lifestyle is available exclusively on Amazon for $2.99 (U.S.), or free to Kindle Unlimited members. Click on the link above to order a copy.

This book tells details of Maureen's personal journey to lose weight and also delves into the pros and cons of most of the major diets that are available out there. After reading it Maureen hopes that you will be enlightened and that you will be better able to make an informed decision as to the diet plan that you wish to pursue.
It is a very poignant, private, and personal look into Maureen's life long battle with obesity. Since she is aware that she is far from the only one engaged in this battle, She hopes that a look into what she has gone through might help and encourage others out there who are struggling with the same issues.
Maureen has tried almost every diet known to man with not so good results in most cases, but since she has been on a plant based vegan diet she has been amazed by the results! The irony is that the coronavirus pandemic greatly influenced her decision to drastically change her diet and lifestyle.
Maureen's fifth book:
Bittersweet Bariatrics: Everything you need to know if you're thinking about bariatric surgery is available exclusively on Amazon for $2.99 (US), or free to Kindle Unlimited members. Click on the link above to order a copy.

After a lifetime fascination with all things weight loss related, Maureen has finally compiled the book to address the many facets of weight loss, including surgical and medical interventions, commercial diet plans, lifestyle behaviors, mental health issues (such as body dysphoria, and imposter syndrome) and links to reputable weight loss websites. A special thanks to every weight loss TV show ever created (a big shout out to Dr. Younan Nowzaradan and Dr. Charles Proctor, as well as numerous TLC series that “fed” (no pun intended) her interests. Enjoy!
The purpose of this book is to educate the bariatric patient on all facets of bariatric weight loss, from pre-operative screenings and surgery to recovery and the ongoing journey towards better health and well-being. Each chapter addresses a key component of a successful bariatric journey.
